The Lila Mijangos Museum in the city of San Cristóbal will celebrate 10 years since its foundation, so on November 25 and 26, various academic activities will be carried out with the theme of amber in the spaces of the Teaching building City House.

In this regard, Luis Alonso Zúñiga, coordinator of the Museum, in a telephone interview, said that they have been celebrating for 10 years and that they have shared with scientists, researchers and artists of amber, “a passionate search to discuss its history, uses and properties in Chiapas and in the world context”.

He indicated that for this celebration they have prepared various activities at La Enseñanza Casa de la Ciudad in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, on November 25 and 26, in the historic center of the colonial city.

During the two days of the event, plastic artists, writers, creatives and academics will participate to create a journey through time through a scenic proposal with puppets and shadow theater in order to teach girls and boys the training process in a playful way. of amber.

Finally, he said that the scientists and academics who will be present at the event will offer presentations and talks about the fossils of plants, fruits, insects, spiders, fungi, turtles and a millipede trapped in the depths of amber, for which he invited the public be present on the 25th and 26th of this month.
