Former director of the Colima State Police gunned down in Villa de Álvarez

The former director of the Colima State Police during the administration of PRI governor Ignacio Peralta, Arturo Rodríguez de la Rosa, was shot to death on Tuesday, November 15. Rodríguez de la Rosa currently worked as an officer of the municipal police of Villa de Álvarez, Colima.

He was attacked with bullets while traveling through the streets of the state capital in his private vehicle after finishing his work shift. Through a statement, the Villa de Álvarez city council reported on the murder of the public servant and demanded that the state authorities clarify the facts.

The city council confirmed that officer Rodríguez de la Rosa lost his life in the place where he was attacked, in addition, he considered that one more attack could not be tolerated against those who, “with courage and loyalty, watch over the tranquility of the people of Villalvar”; finally, he offered his support to the relatives of the fallen officer.
