THEY CELEBRATE THE INAUGURATION OF THE SECOND WINE FESTIVAL IN THE FACILITIES OF THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS, THE WINE TOURISM SECTOR IS GROWING
The government of the state of Querétaro celebrated the second edition of the Wine Festival, with which it closes the harvest season in the region’s vineyards. The event takes place in the vicinity of the Center for the Arts (CEART) on November 5 and 6.
Exhibitors from the region’s main vineyards, cheese factories and craft producers will be present, as well as artistic, musical and theatrical shows.
Liliana Cedillo Díaz, director of the Querétaro state wine cluster, emphasized that the entity is the second most important wine producer in the country, as well as the state with the highest production and export of sparkling wines.
Currently, wine tourism is the second most important tourist activity for the entity and the catalyst in other associated economic activities, such as gastronomy and the commercialization of traditional crafts from the region.
For the creation of this festival, a collaborative work was carried out between the State Secretaries of Tourism and Culture, the Secretary of Tourism of the municipality of Querétaro and the Viticulture Cluster.
