Desperate and fearing for her safety, Nawel hopes that they are in a place where they have not had a signal, so she hopes that she will soon hear from them. And it is that areas such as the communities of the Lacandona jungle, which is usually a very attractive destination for lovers of nature and Mayan culture, there is no telecommunications infrastructure.

It is worth mentioning that so far, the state authorities have not issued information regarding the case.

Assya Madjour’s sister, Nawel, reported the couple’s disappearance on social media.

“Urgently, we are desperately looking for Assya Madjour and her husband Michel Amado, both French, we have not had word of mouth for a month,” he said.

“They are in Chiapas, surely around San Cristóbal de las Casas. Any detail can help us”, detailed the woman in a Facebook group.

So far, no authority in the state of Chiapas has spoken about the disappearance of these French citizens.
