The head of the Executive seeks to accelerate the works of the interoceanic corridor that seeks to unite, through rail transport, the Ports of Coatzacoalcos, in Veracruz, with that of Salina Cruz, in Oaxaca, which will allow the development of an industrial park that detonates the economy of that region of the Mexican southeast.

This project seeks to convert the Isthmus of Tehuantepec as an alternative to the transfer of goods on world trade routes, an ambition that Porfirio Díaz tried to develop but had to abandon due to the impossibility of the time.

In addition, this Friday the federal president confirmed the progress in the superhighway that will allow going from the city of Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido in just two and a half hours.

López Obrador stressed that this work began 15 years ago but due to various circumstances it has not been possible to conclude, but he trusted that an agreement will soon be reached with some communities in relation to agrarian problems and before Murat concludes his mandate as governor.
