The accident was recorded on a curve at kilometer 196 of the Superhighway, near the exit to Copala, municipality of Concordia.

The motorist invaded the lane where the tractor-trailer was traveling, which was towing three more tractor-trailers, and its operator was unable to avoid the impact of the Ford Escape SUV, since it was traveling in the opposite direction in the middle of a curve.

Capufe paramedics responded to the call and rescued the five occupants who were trapped in the SUV; two of them were transferred by ambulance to the Comprehensive Hospital in Concordia, and three more wounded to the IMSS Hospital in Villa Unión.

Minutes later it was reported that one of those transferred to Villa Unión arrived without vital signs; the other two are reported stable.
