A British tourist was detained by Mexican authorities at the Cancun airport for carrying several pieces of drugs in her luggage.

In an information card, the National Guard announced that in the arrivals area of ​​the Cancun International Airport, elements of the corporation and the National Customs Agency (ANAM) located various packages and containers with apparent cocaine, hidden in the double bottom of a suitcase belonging to a passenger of foreign nationality.

According to the data provided, the woman is British and she arrived in the Mexican Caribbean on a flight from the Netherlands.

The drug was detected by the X-ray equipment as well as by the support of a K-9 unit.

The seizure was made on the last weekend of the summer vacation at the Cancun international airport, which reported more than a thousand flights in two days, the operation of at least 40 different airlines, connections with at least fifty destinations around the world, and a score of Mexico.
