President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) became a trend on social networks, after photos of his son, Jesús Ernesto López Gutiérrez at London-Heathrow Airport went viral.

Local Mexican newspaper Publimetro says Jesús Ernesto, AMLO’s youngest son, is a victim of bullying as a consequence of a photo that got posted on social networks, where he can be seen with a notorious case of overweight, and that is why his parents decided to send him abroad.

The images began to circulate on Monday afternoon, especially on the social network Twitter, and were the target of criticism by opponents of the government of the 4T (Fourth Transformation), which according to the presidnet himself, has been governed by a regime of Republican austerity and, now with a policy of Franciscan poverty.

At the airport complex, López Gutiérrez was greeted by the Mexican ambassador to the United Kingdom, Josefa González-Blanco, who, in a totally improper action for an Ambassador, was actually carrying the black backpack belonging to the son of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

For this reason, the criticism was also directed at the representative of Mexico, questioning why she has to go personally to pick up the son of the Mexican president.

Although they pointed out that the reason for his trip is to vacation, other versions, such as that of the opposition senator, Lilly Tellez, state that the boy went to the United Kingdom to stay and study at a boarding school in the UK.
