Air France increases flights from Mexico to Paris

2029

Guilhem Mallet, general director of Air France for Mexico, indicated that the figures are the product of a greater number of flights from CDMX and Cancun to the French capital.

The French airline Air France estimates that, at the end of the year, it will have 13 percent more seats on its flights between Mexico and Europe, compared to the offer before the pandemic.

At a press conference, Guilhem Mallet, general director of Air France for Mexico, indicated that these figures are the product of a greater number of flights from Mexico City and Cancun to the Parisian capital.

Mallet explained that in recent years, and after the departure of the A380 aircraft, the largest for passenger transport, the airline placed a greater number of aircraft, with fewer seats than its predecessor, to be able to carry out its operations.

Air France flights to Cancun have increased

The frequencies to Cancun have increased due to the tourist recovery and the few sanitary requirements that Mexico demanded from foreign travelers during the pandemic.

The airline analyzes the growth of seasonal flights between Cancun and Paris, which could increase up to 15 weekly frequencies in seasons of high demand.

Likewise, the director of the airline assured that their flight itineraries are not expected to be affected by a possible restructuring in terminal 2 of the Mexico City airport, since, although Air France operates in terminal 1, 25 percent of its passengers connect to other destinations thanks to the alliance it has with Aeroméxico.

Aeroméxico is the airline with the largest number of operations in Terminal 2 and would be one of the most impacted by the works or partial closures in said terminal building.
