Oaxaca is crowned the best city in the world to travel, according to Travel + Leisure

Oaxaca was chosen as one of the best cities in the world to travel, in 2020 and 2021.

Oaxaca de Juárez .- This Tuesday, Travel + Leisure announced the main travel destinations and companies to travel to, according to the World’s Best Awards 2022 reader survey. The city of Oaxaca was chosen as the number one city to visit in the world.

In the survey, cities, islands, national parks and hotels to cruise lines, airlines, and airports, among others, were voted on as part of the annual survey.

In the top 10 of the best cities, are the Mexican  Oaxaca, and  San Miguel de Allende in first and second place; followed by  Ubud, Indonesia; Florence, Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; Mexico CityChiang Mai, Thailand; Jaipur, India; Osaka, Japan, and Udaipur, India.

It is worth mentioning that Oaxaca was chosen as the best destination on the entire planet by tourists who have visited it. To do this, Travel + Leisure surveyed its readers, who voted taking into account factors such as the quality of hotels and restaurants, cultural heritage, main attractions, and even protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 .
