Elements of the Municipal Police of San Cristóbal de Las Casas rescued a delivery man named Adrián “N”, 21 years old, who was the victim of an express kidnapping.
The police reported that last Wednesday night they went to the Santa Martha neighborhood after receiving an emergency call where the victim’s wife indicated that moments before she had received a phone call from a number with Lada in the state of Veracruz, in which they demanded a large amount of money in cash to be able to free her husband, but when she stated that she did not have that money, they subsequently reduced the amount so that she could pay it.
In this regard, the victim’s wife contacted the manager of the company where the victim works, who told her that they were also trying to defraud him while Adrián “N” had not returned from his work in the neighborhoods for approximately 1 hour. Primero de Enero and Echeverría, in the north of the city, so at that time they requested the support of the Municipal Police.
The elements implemented a search operation to find the victim
The uniformed officers implemented a search operation in different hotels and hostels in the aforementioned neighborhoods, as well as in the neighborhoods of La Merced and San Ramón, coordinating actions with the support of a satellite location system, achieving their location, safe and sound, within a hotel room, where he stayed for a period of approximately three hours through phone tricks.
Finally, the police transferred the victim along with his wife to the facilities of the Altos District Prosecutor’s Office, where he was given the necessary support to present his complaint for the crime of attempted extortion, against whom or whom responsible, so that this social representation investigates the case.
