The Mexican driver finishes second in Baku, behind Verstappen, in a bad day for the Ferraris who abandoned the race.

Day of bitterness for Ferrari, day of takeoff for Red Bull.

Checo Pérez has been left with second place in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, his twentieth podium in the curriculum.

The race was won by Max Verstappen against another hard setback by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who had to leave the track due to engine problems.

The Mexican has placed second in the championship and has contributed to the team becoming a leader in the season.

If Checo Pérez is asked to be aggressive, the Mexican’s blood boils.

Before the start of the race, Red Bull engineer Hugh Bird asked him not to leave any gaps and attack.

He had started in second place after a great classification, but already this Sunday he took the lead after such a close first lap and took it from Leclerc.

The one from Guadalajara no longer thought about opening the way for Verstappen (third), something that could compromise his performance, and focused on taking care of his position.
