Mexico national soccer team will continue playing games in North Texas through 2026

El Tri has played 12 times at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. FMF will continue annual MexTour matches and concerts in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

The Mexican men’s national soccer team will continue playing international friendlies in North Texas through 2026, according to a joint announcement from the national team’s federation, FC Dallas, the Dallas Cowboys, and Dallas Sports Commission.

Mexico has played 12 times at AT&T Stadium, which is on the shortlist to host World Cup games as part of the 2026 United bid. The continued partnership will include initiatives from FCD, FMF, and fan-focused events and concerts, according to a news release.

“At the Mexican Football Federation, we are proud and enthusiastic about this renewal through which we can strengthen our ties with our fans in the United States, and particularly in Dallas,” FMF President Yon de Luisa said in a release. ” We thank the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, and the Dallas Sports Commission for their support in moving forward with this alliance which allows us not only to bring our national team’s soccer games to Dallas but also to nourish the connection with our fans in the United States through cultural and social responsibility activities.”

l Tri faces Nigeria on Saturday in the first of three matches over the next two weeks as Mexico plays for the first time since qualifying for this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Mexico has a 6-3-2 all-time record at AT&T Stadium.
