The financial support for gasoline will be 100% in the coming weeks, according to the Treasury.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) announced this Friday that motorists will not pay the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) for gasoline during the Easter holiday period.

In the next two weeks, the fiscal stimulus will again be 100 percent for all fuels.

The agreement, published this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) also adds that the complementary incentives for gasoline sold in the country will be the following:

  • Magna: 1.02 pesos
  • Premium: 0.16 pesos
  • Diesel: 2.86 pesos

The complementary stimuli present a reduction with respect to those given by the Treasury last week, when it determined that ‘green’ gasoline would have a support of 1.96 pesos; the ‘red’, of 1.16 pesos, and the diesel, of 3.18 pesos.

The complementary amounts, like the normal fiscal stimuli, will be valid from April 9 to 22.
