As every year, on the occasion of the Easter holidays, there will be discounts on transportation, which will apply to students and teachers, reported the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), so we invite you to take advantage of them and take a little break with your loved ones.
How much will the discounts on transportation be for Easter holidays?
The SICT will put into effect discounts of 50 and 25% for students and teachers, respectively, who travel by federal passenger or rail transport, during the Easter 2022 holiday period, which includes April 11 to 22, 2022. To do so, they must They should only show the service providers their current credentials or proof of the school to which they belong.
It should be mentioned that the student or teacher credential must contain the name and photograph of the holder, account or registration number, as well as the stamp of the institution for the transportation discount to be valid.
Which schools will be able to participate in transportation discounts?
- Integrated into the education systems of the SEP.
- Directorates or departments of education of the federative entities.
- National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM.
- National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).
- Universities throughout the Republic, as well as institutes.
- Free schools of law, commerce and homeopathy.
- Colegio de Bachilleres, and the schools incorporated to the aforementioned.
According to the SICT, the rate reduction will be made in all runs of the public passenger rail transport service in its regular interurban mode and in the first and economic services of the federal passenger transport.
Complaints for violations of the provisions of this circular, regarding the matter of railway rates must be filed with the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency; and in the case of motor transport collection levels, before the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport or, in its absence and for both cases, before the Federal Motor Transport Department of the SCT Center that corresponds to the user’s address.
Given the increase in vehicles on the roads due to the Easter holidays, the SICT recommended driving with caution and checking the vehicle before making a long trip. Likewise, the dependency calls to rest adequately before being in front of the wheel to avoid accidents.
