A father from the city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, managed to find the body of his daughter who drowned in a river.
The victim, identified as Liliana Márquez, 19 years old, apparently lost her life after falling into the Rio Grande. Authorities searched for her for a few days, however, after not locating her body, they abandoned the search.
However, her father, Pascual Márquez, got a boat and traveled the Rio Grande to find his daughter’s body.
After starting the search, he managed to find Liliana’s backpack first, then, a few meters away, he located the young woman’s body, which was face down in the river.

Finally, Pascual notified the authorities about the discovery of his daughter. Liliana’s body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service to carry out the necessary procedures.
