Cancun serial killer transferred from Jalisco to face charges

The defendant will be placed at the disposal of the judge who requires him to face the crime of homicide.

Due to probable participation in a multi- homicide registered in 2019, personnel from the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office transferred 22-year-old Cruz “C” to Quintana Roo. 

The accused will be made available to the judge who requires him to face the crime of homicide, to the detriment of seven victims in events that occurred on January 20, 2019.

The young man was arrested in collaboration with the Jalisco authorities in the same year as the high-impact event recorded in Cancun. 

To face the judicial process against him, he will be transferred to the Cereso de Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo . 

The Jalisco authority handed him over this Saturday to elements of the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office, attached to the Specialized Homicide Investigation Prosecutor’s Office.

In compliance with an arrest warrant against Cruz “C”, for his probable participation in the crime of qualified homicide to the detriment of seven people, events that occurred on January 20, 2019, in Region 219 of the municipality of Benito Juárez.

The work between the two states allowed the accused to be hospitalized in a hospital in Jalisco in February 2019, after being injured in an armed confrontation with police officers from that entity. 

After recovering and after facing the charges against him in said state, this February 26, 2022, Cruz “N”, 22 years old, will be transferred to Quintana Roo and will remain at the disposal of a control judge to continue with the process against him.

He could receive a sentence of up to 50 years in prison for the crime of qualified homicide to the detriment of seven people.
