The rescue occurred after a young pedestrian noticed the presence of a man inside a sewer in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The victim used the bones of a corpse to call for help.

58-year-old man was rescued from a sewer in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he was trapped for several days after armed individuals deprived him of liberty near his home.

The event was released this week after the rescue forces responded to the call of a young pedestrian who noticed the presence of the victim and called 911. There was also a body in an advanced state of decomposition at the scene.

According to journalist Héctor Escamilla, the victim was a 58-year-old man who had been locked up since Saturday, January 15, after armed individuals deprived him of his liberty near his home in Lomas de Polanco. They hit him on the head and left him in the 2.3 meters deep well.

The assailants put it in the sewer and closed it with a padlock, so the victim used the bones that were with him to poke them through a small hole.

This is how a young pedestrian became aware of the fact and called 911. According to information from journalist Héctor Escamilla, the bones had been on the site for at least a year.

The survivor had an advanced picture of dehydration and starvation after five days locked up. Now the case is being investigated by the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office.
