President Andrés Manuel López Obrador proposed the former governor of Campeche, Carlos Miguel Aysa González, as ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
Carlos Miguel Aysa González, is a Mexican politician, interim Governor of Campeche from 2019 to 2021. He obtained a law degree from Universidad La Salle.
However, Alejandro Moreno, president of the PRI, the party to which Aysa Gonzalez belongs, has threatened to expel from the party, not only Aysa but also Claudia Pavlovich, former governor of Sonora, who has also been proposed by President Lopez Obrador as Council in Barcelona, Spain.
