Carlos Morán Moguel was appointed as the new general director of the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM) “Benito Juárez”, as part of one of the last changes that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador made in his cabinet.

In a statement, the federal government announced that Adán Augusto López Hernández, head of Segob, gave office to Morán Moguel, who was Undersecretary of Transportation of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT).

In addition, he stated that the new director of the AICM is an electrical mechanical engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of the UNAM and Master of Science at Stanford University, California, United States.

Morán Moguel was executive coordinator of Quality at the Faculty of Engineering, where he has been a professor for more than 25 years. He has also been a professor for 20 years of the Advanced Program of Public Entities of the National Institute of Public Administration.

In the public sector he held positions as general director of Industrial Technological Education in the Ministry of Public Education; general director of Civil Aeronautics in the Ministry of Communications and Transportation; General Director of Machinery and Transportation in the Ministry of Public Works.

In the business world, he held management positions in some technology firms and has served as an external consultant for Conacyt.

He was part of the group of international consultants of the International Civil Aviation Organization and has been a consultant and facilitator of strategic change processes and an instructor of leadership and development of high-performance teams in institutions and companies such as Pemex, Metro Collective Transport System, and American Express, among others.
