Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller is a Mexican writer, journalist, researcher, and the wife of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. She made it clear at the beginning of the Lopez Obrador administration that she was no first lady, and that during this six-year term, there was not going to be such a thing as a “first lady” in Mexico.

Gutiérrez Müller used her social networks to thank for the messages of affection and congratulations for her 53rd birthday on January 13th.

The writer thanked her friends and family: “Thank you, that’s the word. Thanks to each scent, bark, footprint, breath, particle, shadow, slope, window. Thank you to every human being you have given me.”

In the morning, Beatriz Gutiérrez received a surprise from her followers, who brought her a mariachi to the National Palace to sing her “Las Mañanitas”.

After President López Obrador tested positive for Covid-19, Gutiérrez Müller reported that as a precaution, both she and her son would also remain isolated.
