The president of the Jucopo pointed out that events such as the one promoted by the mayor in Mazatlán were unacceptable.
Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The president of the Political Coordination Board of the State Congress, Feliciano Castró Meléndrez, pointed out that the event that took place in Mazatlán for New Year’s reasons was unacceptable.
” Certainly unacceptable events such as Mazatlán, where the municipal president creates an island and that he can decide, the truth is that in a pandemic situation it is the health authority under the leadership of the presidency of the republic who is in command of any situation and of any of the Country “, indicated Castró Meléndrez.
The president of the Jucopo said that it is also unacceptable that the municipal president of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, promotes events of these types and ignores what the political constitution establishes.
” There is no municipal autonomy with regard to situations like that, unacceptable that mayor Benítez promotes events like the one he promoted and unacceptable that he ignores what is established in the General Constitution of the republic, ” said Feliciano Castró.
Castró Meléndrez, detailed that in the Sinaloa State Congress, they will comply with the instructions of the health authorities to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
