While President Lopez Obrador is more concerned about political issues, during the early hours of Saturday, December 18, shootings, burning of homes, and kidnappings were reported in the municipality of Fresnillo, Zacatecas.
Heavily armed subjects broke into 10 homes, setting the facades of six of them on fire. These buildings were located in the Obrera, La Paz, Plan de Ayala neighborhoods.
In addition, the disappearance of eight to 10 people was reported, who were abducted by these armed men, and so far, the authorities have not commented on the matter.
As of 11:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17th, the 911 Emergency System began receiving reports of shootings.
On San Mateo Street in the Plateros community, armed men violently entered a house, set fire to the second floor of the property, and then fled the scene. On their way out, they threw traffic spikes to the ground to prevent police patrol cars from catching up with them.
At 03:00 AM, in the La Paz neighborhood, another house was set on fire, nothing is known about those who lived in that place. Almost at the same time, in the Plan de Ayala neighborhood, another house on fire was reported.
The same thing happened some time later in the Obrera neighborhood, where armed men also forcibly entered a house and started setting it on fire. A woman was poisoned by carbon monoxide inhalation, for which she was treated by paramedics.
In the Colonia Hidalgo de Ojuelos, the fire of a house was also reported, according to the inhabitants of the community, no authority answered the call for help, so civilians had to put out the fire themselves.
