This holiday season the streets of the Historic Center of the city of Oaxaca are illuminated with hundreds of lights and Christmas ornaments.
The Christmas spirit has flooded the streets of the city of Oaxaca, which after the Covid-19 pandemic come to life with decorations to celebrate this time. The inhabitants of the capital and visitors can appreciate from hanging piñatas, lights that surround the central kiosk, and a replica of the Mitla tree that is made with confetti.

At the state level, Oaxaca will celebrate Christmas with a green traffic light, which will continue until December 26. Although the risk is low, “we must continue to apply all prevention measures,” said the Oaxaca Health Services (SSO).

In addition to these unique ornaments that can be seen in the city, in Oaxaca this season the Night of Radishes takes place, a tradition that takes place on December 23, the day before Christmas Eve, and consists of creating and displaying designs specials made from radish and other plants.
