After 70 years, Atlas de Guadalajara becomes champion of the LIGA MX


A historic event in Liga MX occurred this Sunday night as the rojinegros achieved their second championship after 70 years.

On Sunday night the final of the Grita México Apertura 2021 was played and Atlas was crowned champion of this tournament, after the 90 regulation, the 30 extra minutes and the penalty round, the Guadalajara team kept the cup and recorded his second star on his shield.

Atlas and León fought for the crown of this contest. The different emotions that were experienced on the Jalisco Stadium field gave way for users on social networks to make fun of the two finalists.

The final was ultimately resolved dramatically in penalty shootouts.

After a game full of expectations at the Jalisco Stadium, the red-black team managed to overcome the disadvantage of the first leg and thus was able to place the second star in its history after a long wait of 70 years.
