The Body was found inside a hotel room, on the Playa del Carmen Boulevard
Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An unidentified woman found dead in a Playa del Carmen motel is believed to have suffocated to death. Staff from the Maya Motel located the dead body of the woman around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, December 10th.
The motel, who offers rooms for rent by the hour, is known to be used by sex trade workers. Police and paramedics were on scene at the 78 Street hotel after staff made the report to Emergency 911.
Municipal Police arrived as well as paramedics who entered the room only to confirm the woman had already died.
So far the identity of the deceased has not been revealed by the local authorities, and no arrests have been made in relation to this crime.
