This town rests on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Oriental, a mountain range that provides it with temperate forests, and also gives way to the Mexican Altiplano, where its semi-desert still houses unknown sites such as the Pozo del Gavilán, the Puente De Dios, and the Laguna de Labradors.
Galeana is the municipality with the largest territorial extension in the state of Nuevo León and is only 3 hours south of Monterrey.
