Oaxaca is ready to receive the 11 states that will compete in the Conade National Surfing Games

  • From October 27 to 30, 97 surfers will look for the medals for their states at the closing of the children’s and youth sports fair  

On October 27, Puerto Escondido will once again host the most important amateur, children’s and youth sports fair in the country, with the Conade 2021 National Games, in the discipline of surfing.

The work coordinated with the authorities of the municipality of Santa María Colotepec, security corporations, Oaxaca Health Services (SSO), service providers, Mexican Surfing Federation, National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) and the Institute of Culture Physics and Sports of Oaxaca (Incude Oaxaca), will allow the safe reception of 95 surfers from 11 states.

Men and women will compete from October 27 to 30 for a medal in the categories 15-16 and 17-19 years old, in the different modalities of surfing, taking place at the potential beach of Punta Zicatela, in the region of the Coast of Oaxaca. .

The states that will compete for the medals at the closing of the first edition of the Conade National Games, formerly the National and National Youth Olympics, are: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Colima, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Veracruz, Nuevo León, and Oaxaca as host.

Oaxaca is precisely the state that presents the most surfers in the competition with a total of 15, followed by Jalisco that registered 13 along with Colima, while Baja California will bring 10, Baja California Sur and Guerrero eight, Nayarit and Sinaloa will come with seven, Michoacán with six and Veracruz don two.

Everything is ready to receive athletes, coaches, technicians and operatives from the different states, who will arrive with negative COVID-19 tests to enter the destination and the competition, in addition to the PCR tests that the headquarters will carry out, all in order to guarantee the health of the participants.
