With a dinner at the breakwater pier in the dock of Cabo San Lucas Bay, with live music and fireworks, tonight the teams that were winners of an accumulated prize pool of 10 million dollars were awarded.
Unlike the results that were obtained in the atypical “2020” after finishing the boats without being able to capture a single species, this year, although there were more catches, only 2 fish gave the weight greater than 300 pounds and took the first 2 places.
The winners in 2021 were the “Braniff” team with the capture of a 489-pound blue marlin and took 1 million 134 thousand dollars, the second was the “Brass” team that managed to catch a 305-pound blue marlin, achieving earn $ 732,550.
It should be remembered that this edition No. 41 of the tournament is the largest in history since 199 boats participate. The accumulated in prizes of 10 million dollars, was the largest purse in the 40 years of the tournaments and an economic spill of 12 million dollars was generated for Los Cabos.
