Merida Yucatan; October 14, 2021.- Two men and two women were arrested for the homicide of an older adult, moments after the event in a Cholul property.

An adolescent son of the victim who witnessed the events and remained hidden until the attackers fled, immediately reported to the emergency number.

Immediately from the Police Monitoring and Intelligence Unit (UMIPOL) the alert was issued to all units of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) in the sectors of Mérida, road checkpoints and the State Investigation Police.

The persecution of the probable murderers was soon successful and two men from the state of Michoacán and two women from Baja California were captured. They are Camerino RR, José AZ, Susana Virginia BC and María Dolores RA, 37, 31, 29 and 27 years old, respectively.

The attackers took two machetes from their black vehicle and attacked Don José. The victim tried to escape, but in his desperation to flee he fell to the ground where he was finally killed.

The machete blows were so strong that the legs of the now-deceased were detached. A person observed the body in the middle of a pool of blood so he immediately called 911 and state police arrived with paramedics who only confirmed the death of the night watchman.

According to the statements of the young man, his father was mortally wounded with a machete, by the aforementioned subjects whom he fully identified. The SSP has already made the detainees available to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and, together with the Public Ministry, integrates the investigation folder to follow the process.
