DIF Jalisco brings assistance to flood victims of Chapala and Jocotepec

Among the support granted are cots, blankets, mats, pantries, and personal hygiene kits

The System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) Jalisco, through the Humanitarian Aid Directorate, transferred the assistance supplies to help the families affected by the Cerro Viejo landslides, caused by the severe rain this Tuesday in different localities of the municipalities of Chapala and Jocotepec.

Among the support granted in Chapala are 100 cots, 100 blankets, 100 mats, 100 pantries and 100 personal hygiene kits

While in Jocotepec 25 cots, 25 mats, 25 blankets, 50 man/woman personal hygiene kits, 50 pantries, and 478 cleaning supplies (broom, mop, squeegee, bucket, soap, jargon, and toilet paper) were delivered.

In addition, the municipal DIF of Chapala enabled a temporary shelter in the House of Culture of Ajijic, in which, up to now, one person has been treated. Damage assessment continues in both municipalities in coordination with municipal and state Civil Protection units.
