Fanny Guadalupe, a 16-year-old girl who reported having been threatened and beaten by a municipal agent from her community “El Porvenir” in San Juan Cotzocón Mixe, in Oaxaca, was found dead.
“Look, it’s not going to be difficult for me to kill a bitch like you. If I want to, I will fill your head with shots ”was the threat that the municipal agent of El Porvenir, Isaac Hernández Guillén, launched at the young woman.
It was this September 26 when Fanny’s body was found, who also orphaned a six-month-old baby.
The civil association Servicios del Pueblo Mixe demanded that the authorities punish those responsible for the femicide of Fanny Guadalupe, either by action or omission.
“It was not suicide, but feminicide”, activists and organizations denounced in social networks, who demand justice for the minor.
According to the Mixe activist Joaquín Galván, the young woman denounced that on July 13 of this year she was summoned to the offices of the municipal agent, where she arrived accompanied by her mother and her partner, Alexis Trujillo.
At the hearing, the Municipal agent accused Fanny and Alexis of selling drugs as well as insulting, hitting and threatening them with death. The foregoing was indicated in Research File 23472 / FIST / CODDI-MATIAS / 2021.
In this regard, the Attorney General of the State of Oaxaca explained that it is investigating the death of Fanny under the Ministerial, Police, and Expert Protocol of the Crime of Femicide in the State of Oaxaca.
Civil organizations also demanded that the General Secretariat of the Government carry out the corresponding investigations in this case.
They pointed out that indigenous women suffer triple discrimination and gender violence because they are in a situation of vulnerability.
According to the demographic monitoring carried out by the Ges Mujer collective, so far in September, 10 women have been murdered in Oaxaca.
