Mexico receives 900 thousand Sputnik V doses

Almost 7 million Sputnik V doses have arrived in the country. 900,000 vaccines from Russia arrived at the AICM. Sedena elements were present.

This Sunday, Mexico received 900 thousand Sputnik V doses (second component) against Covid-19, in order to complete vaccination schedules in people to whom only one dose has been applied.

Boarding with 900 thousand doses Sputnik V arrived at 3:04 pm at Terminal 1 of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) “Benito Juarez” from Moscow, Russia, with a stopover in Zaragoza, Spain.

At the arrival, workers from the Biological and Reagent Laboratories of Mexico (Birmex) were present, as well as elements from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena).

According to the majority state-owned company, Mexico has received 84 million 696 thousand 505 doses of packaged vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Centro Nacional de Investigación de Epidemiología y Microbiología Gamaleya, CanSino Biologics, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna.

Likewise, in Mexican territory, the Drugmex laboratory has packaged 7 million 195 thousand 410 doses of CanSino Biologics, and the Liomont laboratory 23 million 055 thousand 900 biologicals from AstraZeneca, for a total of 30 million 251 thousand 310 vaccines packaged in the country. .

Only from the Sputnik V vaccine, Mexico has received 6,900,000 vaccines, that is, almost seven million samples.

According to Birmex, since December 23, Mexico has had 114 million 947 thousand 815 biologicals available in total. To date, 131 shipments have been received on 145 flights.
