In almost three years of the Andrés Manuel López Obrador administration, state and federal prosecutors have registered more than 100,000 intentional homicides in the country.

According to the report ‘MX: The War in Numbers’, by T-ResearchMX, the registry of intentional homicides of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection indicates that from December 1, 2018, to September 19, 2021, there have been 100 thousand 68 intentional homicides reported in Mexico.

It is observed that throughout the 33 months of López Obrador’s administration, there is an upward trend in this crime.

The month with the highest record of intentional homicides was October 2020, with 3,328; On the other hand, the month with the lowest number of intentional homicides was August of this year, with 2,384.

However, the data contrasts with what was reported with the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), an agency that indicated that so far this six-year term of President López Obrador, there has been a decrease of 0.4 percent in intentional homicides.

It should be noted that in the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto, 60 thousand 343 homicides were registered, in the same period of time, that is, a figure lower than the current one.

A few days ago, ex-presidential candidate Ricardo Anaya criticized AMLO for this situation on social networks.

“Well, what do you think? Today according to figures from his own government, there are 94 homicides a day. No, what kind of game should your soul have, Andrés Manuel ”, said Anaya in a video.

Mexico is one of the countries with the highest homicide rate in the world, warns a report prepared by the Criminal Stoplight (SD), which highlights that 80 percent of crimes are drug trafficking executions.
