The Kiefers traveled to Tulum, Mexico, with the idea of hiring the professional services of an adventure planning company to guide them safely through the mysterious underwater waters with crocodiles.

Underwater photographer Ken Kiefer, 52, from Houston, Texas, and his sentimental partner Kimber Kiefer, are a couple of experienced divers and lovers of adventure and unique underwater experiences. Both have given a lot to talk about, as they swam with a crocodile in a cenote in Yucatán and recorded the moment that has already gone viral. How they did it? It’s not dangerous?

This summer, the couple returned to the Yucatan Peninsula in search of new adventures. Specifically, the Kiefers traveled to Tulum, Mexico, with the idea of hiring the professional services of an adventure planning company to guide them safely through the mysterious underwater waters of the area in search of surprises.

And the “surprise” was found in one of the cenotes, where they were able to swim with crocodiles and Kimber was able to pose as an underwater model for her husband’s goal, giving rise to these impressive images.

“Every time you are in the water with the crocodiles it is exciting. Modeling with the crocodiles is a great challenge that we have tried several times before. You never know what you will see. The personalities and aggressiveness of each crocodile, the weather, the visibility, currents and available sunlight combine to present a wide variety of imponderables at each encounter, “says Ken on his blog.

Fortunately, the adventurer couple dived among crocodiles without any of those imponderables failing, being able to experiment with angles and poses during the dive.

“I was very excited about the whole experience!” The photographer confessed to Caters.
