Oaxaca. – The municipal authority of Santa María Huatulco determined to keep the epidemiological risk traffic light in orange, until next September 20 of the current year.

Through a statement, the municipality announced that the agreements established in the Municipal Gazette number 62 will remain in force, allowing the operation of the provision of services and sale of essential goods products.

Therefore, meetings, gatherings and celebrations that involve the agglomeration of people are still prohibited.

“Congregations should be avoided for the celebration of national holidays since it can be a focus for massive contagion and it is necessary to cut the contagion line for the municipality to continue with the process of economic reactivation,” says the document.

Likewise, citizens are urged to follow the necessary sanitary measures at all times, such as the mandatory use of a face mask, sneezing on the label, constant hand disinfection, healthy distance, and as far as possible, avoid mobility and stay at home.

According to data from the Oaxaca Health Services (SSO), during the last hours in the municipality of Santa María Huatulco, 1,571 confirmed cases, 69 deaths, and 66 cases of active Covid-19 patients were recorded.
