The water operator in Querétaro attributed this situation to the venting of the Zimapán Dam, ordered by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

“The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has determined the controlled opening of the gates of said reservoir, in order to vent and reduce the water level in it.”

In its notice, the State Water Commission added that it will implement the start-up and commissioning of its well system to guarantee supply, but it will not be enough to cover all the colonies throughout the day.

“In order to offer an equitable supply throughout the affected area, the service will be presented irregularly at different times during the course of each day, until the CFE informs us of the conclusion of the venting process.”

To questions from users of social networks, CEA staff explained that the procedure will last 2 weeks.

“During the duration of the venting operation of the Zimapán Dam (two weeks), the potable water service in your neighborhood will continue to be provided irregularly, that is, for 6 hours of each day. In order to maintain a balance in all the networks and water lines, there is no set schedule for this ”.
