The announcement was made known by the governor-elect, Mauricio Kuri González, as part of his tour of Washington, United States; He reported that it is the first investment that he has made within weeks of starting his term.

Kuri Gonzáles said that the objective is not only to invite more companies to invest in the state but also to contribute to the growth of others already installed. In this way, he promised to provide a facilitating government that guarantees the certainty that they will be accompanied at all times by the public administration.

In February of this year, the company announced the installation of a data center campus in Querétaro, as part of its expansion plans; At that time, the announced project was for 600 million dollars, with the projection of generating 1,000 jobs.

CloudHQ specializes in the development of hyperscale data centers, based in various regions of the United States, mainly in Virginia; The investment responds to the growth plan of the firm in regions of Europe and Latin America.

Meetings

As part of the tour of the United States, the governor-elect also met with the senior vice president of the Aerospace Industries Association, Remy Nathan; they discussed the qualities of the entity to attract aerospace investment.

During the first half of the year, direct foreign investment from the United States amounted to 96.8 million dollars, making it the second-largest investor in the entity, representing 28.3% of the total captured in that period.

US FDI was placed below Spain, which in the same period amounted to 100.6 million dollars, 29.4% of the total received by the entity, according to records from the Ministry of the Economy.
