Merida Yucatan; September 3, 2021.- A new day of vaccination against the Coronavirus in Mérida will take place from Tuesday 7 to Sunday 12 September with the application of only the first dose to the population between 18 and 29 years old, a process that will be carried out in a coordinated manner between the State Government, the Mérida City Council and the Ministry of Welfare.

State, federal and municipal authorities announced that, on this day, in which vaccines from the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca will be administered, only the first dose will be applied to people belonging to the age groups of 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 years and older than 60, as well as pregnant women.

The State Government, the Mérida City Council and the Ministry of Welfare reiterate that a second dose of the vaccine will not be applied, so those who already have the first dose are invited not to go because they will not be vaccinated and to avoid crowds.

The vaccination will take place in 2 macro-centers and 7 modules strategically distributed in the city from 8:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the afternoon, for which they invited the population to go to these sites on the day they were assigned to avoid crowds and take care of everyone’s health.

According to the schedule, the application of the first dose to people between 18 and 29 years of age in the Yucatecan capital will be carried out as follows:

On Tuesday, September 7, those who were born in the months of January and February will be vaccinated.

-Wednesday September 8 to March and April.

-On Thursday, September 9 to May and June.

-On Friday, September 10, those who meet in July and August.

-On Saturday September 11 to September and October.

-On Sunday, September 12 to November and December.
