Eight of the ten busiest domestic routes during August 2021 correspond to the Asian continent, one to Mexico (CDMX-Cancun) and another to Saudi Arabia, according to data from the British consulting firm OAG.
The South Korean route Jeju-Seoul Gimpo heads the top 10 of the busiest domestic flights, after having registered one million and 528 thousand 602 seats offered during the eighth month of the year; It is followed by the Sapporo New Chitose-Tokio Haneda flights, with 771 thousand 653; Beijing-Shanghai Hongqiao with 717 thousand 584; Fukuoka-Tokio Haneda in fourth place with 680,005 seats; and Seoul Gimpo-Busan, with 665,941 seats offered.
In sixth place is placed the Cancun-Mexico City flight, accumulating 544 thousand 539 seats; then Tokyo Haneda-Okinawa Naha is placed with 540 thousand 566 seats; Jeddah-Riyadh with 539,027 chairs; Guangzhou-Shanghai with 538 thousand 463 seats; and the Shanghai-Shenzhen route completes the top 10, with 530 thousand 509 seats.
