The Ministry of the Interior (Segob) declared an alert of gender violence throughout the state of Tlaxcala.

In Tlaxcala, there were 76 cases of femicides that have not been investigated as such and the violent deaths of women doubled in the last five years, reported the head of the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence ( Conavim), Fabiola Alanís Sámano

She added that in Tlaxcala one out of every 5 students is violated at their school; one in 3 is attacked in the streets for the simple fact of being a woman and Tlaxcala is the fourth state in the country with the highest number of teenage pregnancies.

The cause that has generated violence in Tlaxcala, as in the entire country, is inequality, she said.

“It is urgent that the three levels of government, the powers of the State and society join forces, only in this way will we be able to stop in depth this constant violation of human rights against women and girls,” he said this Wednesday.

He warned that the entity is violating the rights of women to health, work, education, access to justice, and a life free of violence.
