Civil Protection Authorities of the state of Nayarit and the municipality of Tepic are in the place helping tourists.
The passengers, who were mostly asleep, were surprised by the unexpected accident, and to get out of the vehicle they had to break the front glass since the door was obstructed by the rollover.
The bus from the state of Coahuila and bound for Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, overturned Sunday morning on the Tepic-Mazatlán highway and fell into a small ravine, leaving several people injured, some of which merited being transferred to a hospital in Tepic to receive medical attention.
Until now, the cause of the rollover or the number of injuries has not been specified. The passengers who left without physical damage tried to rescue their suitcases and those who succeeded remained on the side of the highway with their belongings and communicating with their families.
The Civil Protection authorities of the state of Nayarit and the municipality of Tepic are in the place helping tourists and carrying out the corresponding investigations.
