Given this, Félix Antelo, CEO and president of the Viva Air Group, assured that this new route will allow direct connection with 14 destinations of this group, for which the mobilization of 5,000 passengers for the first month and 60,000 travelers for the first year is expected. , which will generate closer ties between Colombia and Mexico.

“This year there are already four international routes that we inaugurate, which proves our commitment to connecting travelers from our Medellín HUB with the world. The opening of the Medellín – Mexico City route is fundamental for Viva for several reasons: it strengthens our Hub Medellín as a Connections Center for the region, which will allow direct connection with 14 destinations in the Viva network, ”he added.

Among the greatest differentiators to offer, the Colombian airline highlights a reduction of up to 40% in the price of air tickets, which will allow more people to access the plane as a means of transportation.

The launch will not only connect the Mexican capital with the network of destinations in Colombia through the HUB Medellín, the airline’s main connection center, but will also connect the Mexican market with international destinations such as Orlando, Miami and Lima, and seven domestic destinations in Peru.
