On the last Saturday of July, hotel occupancy in the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo tourist binomial reached a stay of 43.8 percent, surpassing the stay of the port of Acapulco, which registered 42 percent.

The Guerrero Secretariat of Tourism reported that tourism behavior in the three destinations that make up the so-called Triángulo del Sol reached a general hotel occupancy of 42.1 percent. The tourist binomial by zone in Ixtapa registered 45.8% and Zihuatanejo 34.1 percent.

Acapulco in its tourist areas such as Diamante registered 41.9 percent; Gold 44.3 percent; and Nautical 27.9 percent. Acapulco in its condominium zone in the Diamante area reached 37 and Dorada 30 percentage points.

The colonial city of Taxco Alarcón had a small increase in its hotel occupancy of 33 percent.

While in timeshares the average occupancy in Acapulco was 28, and for Zihuatanejo 31 percent.
