The economic activity of Aguascalientes recovers and resumes its growth, as stated by Governor Martín Orozco Sandoval when he announced that according to the publication of the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE), of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography ( Inegi), the state of Aguascalientes ranked third at the national level among the entities with the highest increases during the first quarter of this year.

Likewise, Orozco Sandoval explained that our state registered growth, with original figures, of 2.0 percent per year in this period, pointing out that only seven states in the country showed positive variations and that at the national level a drop of 3.4 percent was reported.

The state governor assured that these indicators show that Aguascalientes maintains, despite the ravages of the pandemic, a solid economy thanks to the contribution of this government to generate the conditions that allow the attraction of more investment and the development of local capital. national and foreign.

In this regard, the State Secretary of Economic Development (SEDEC), Manuel Alejandro González Martínez, added that despite the slight decreases in the state’s agricultural and livestock production, as well as in trade and services, industrial activities supported the economic growth by registering an annual increase of 7.4 percent in relation to manufacturing, construction, mining, and energy.

Finally, González Martínez commented that, with seasonally adjusted figures, Aguascalientes accumulated three consecutive quarters with positive variations, showing a growth of 1.0 percent in relation to the fourth quarter of 2020.
