Violence wave leaves 18 executions during the weekend in Zacatecas

Violence continues in the state of Zacatecas, where at least 18 people were murdered in one weekend, at different events in the municipalities of Fresnillo and Guadalupe.

Among those that occurred are last Friday, when a bullet attack was reported in the Francisco I. Madero neighborhood, in Fresnillo, where the lifeless body of a minor was found in a vehicle.

Several people were attacked at the scene, injuring a man and a minor, who were taken to a hospital where they died later.

On Libertad Street in the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood, in Fresnillo, one person was shot to death and another was injured, so she was transferred to receive medical attention aboard a private vehicle who lost her life in the transfer.

That same Friday, in Fresnillo, another person was shot at a cell phone repair shop.

While in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, four people were killed inside a barbershop located on the Sauceda de la Borda highway, in the La Fe neighborhood.

Two minors were also deprived of their lives by firearms in the second section of Tierra y Libertad.

On Sunday, July 25th, the wave of murders continued in Fresnillo, because in Paseo del Mineral, in the Fresno neighborhood, a man and a woman were killed.

Likewise, on federal highway 44 that leads to Valparaíso, before reaching the community of San Jerónimo, four men were found dead with signs of violence on a dirt road.
