At 6:15 a.m., the National Meteorological Service updated the status of this system that continues to be active in the Mexican Pacific.

In the recently updated forecast notice on tropical storm “Enrique”, the National Meteorological Service reported that it continues to disorganize on the eastern coast of Baja California Sur, its cloud bands will cause very strong punctual rains in Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Durango and Chihuahua. 

The alert is established for Baja California Sur due to the approach of “Enrique” which is located 55 kilometers east-northwest of La Paz BCS with displacement to the northwest at 15 kilometers per hour, sustained winds of 65 km / h and gusts of 85 km / h

In the same way, the agency highlights that the still tropical storm that this day will degrade when it makes landfall in a tropical depression, will cause very strong punctual rains in Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua and Durango, as well as showers in Baja California.

Winds with gusts of 60 to 70 km / h are also forecast in the Gulf of California, Baja California Sur and the coast of Sonora, gusts of 50 to 60 km / h in Baja California and Sinaloa, as well as waves of 1 to 3 meters high on the coasts of Baja California Sur and Sonora.

The recommendation is to take extreme precautions to the general population in the areas of the states mentioned due to rain , wind and waves (including maritime navigation) and to comply with the recommendations issued by the authorities of the National Civil Protection System, in each entity.

It is forecast that around noon on June 30, “ Enrique ” will degrade to a tropical depression 40 km east-southeast of San Evaristo, BCS .; It will make landfall on July 1, 65 km northwest of San Evaristo, BCS. and at noon on Thursday after making landfall, it will be low pressure remaining 5 km east-northeast of Puerto San Andresito, BCS.
