Man wanted for attempted double femicide is a fugitive from justice (VIDEO)

Diego Helguera is one of the most mentioned names in social networks during the last hours, because, he has been identified as the man who last weekend ran over two young women with his car on the streets of Mexico City (CDMX).

The case is a trend as the security videos of the attack went viral on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

On the video, it can be seen how Diego Helguera gets into his car, throws himself in reverse, and attacks the two women, the Internet users and the CDMX authorities have taken on the task of identifying the aggressor and looking for him so he can respond for the crime of attempted murder.

In her Twitter account, Sol Merino, an alternate federal deputy for the state of Baja California, mentioned that the aggressor was a sentimental partner of one of the victims; however, another version has been released in which it is presumed that Diego Helguera attended the party offered by one of the assaulted women invited by another guest.

In the place, the aggressor supposedly “started drinking” and began to commit impertinences, so they decided to ask him to leave.

This version of the story indicates that the alleged culprit was upset and, therefore, ran over the two young women, who are being treated in a CDMX hospital. And their state of health is reported as serious.

The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX), reported that it is already integrating an investigation folder, related to the case of the women run over in the capital last weekend.

The CDMX corporation specified that the investigation is being carried out for the crime of attempted femicide, “with the aim of bringing the perpetrator to justice as soon as possible, after learning of the injuries caused to the victims, in events that occurred in the Viaducto Piedad neighborhood on June 12 ”.

He also explained that the Investigative Police (PDI) interviewed witnesses, collected video recordings from private security cameras and the C4 Command and Control Center.

After experts in criminalistics, photography, chemistry, and land traffic, attached to the Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services, collected evidence at the scene of the incident, it has been determined that it is a flagrant crime, and the perpetrator has to be punished.
