Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The Ministry of Tourism of the State of Sinaloa seeks to recover for winter international flights that were affected as a result of the pandemic of the Covid-19.

The head of this agency, Óscar Pérez Barros, said that there is good progress and that the airlines are interested in recovering their connectivity.

What our governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel instructed us is to close with everything and land all the projects that we brought before Covid-19. Leave at least the same international flights that we had before Covid-19,” he said.

He assured that Mazatlán will once again have air connectivity with Canada, even Swoop will already open reservations to reactivate the same flights that it brought before the coronavirus.

Pérez Barros confirmed that also for the winter, United Airlines and Sunwing will begin operations in the month of October, the latter with eight direct flights to Mazatlán.

There are eight direct flights, from eight destinations touching ten destinations, that is, there are some that will play from October, they are not the same flights, just more flights,” he said.

The state official pointed out that in the case of the United States, connectivity with Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Houston has been maintained, but for the winter the frequencies currently available could be increased.
