Movimiento Ciudadano candidate Marilu Martinez Nuñez who was kidnapped in Guerrero is found alive

Marilú Martínez Núñez, the candidate of Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) for mayor of Cutzamala de Pinzón, a small town in Guerrero, has been found alive along with the rest of her relatives after the complaint of her kidnapping by the party.

According to the state leadership of the party, around 10 pm on Tuesday, June 1st, several armed men broke into the candidate’s house, taking her entire family.

“We have learned that the candidate and her family are fortunately well. We are waiting for her to report to know exactly what happened, ”announced on Wednesday the candidate for governor for MC, Ruth Zavaleta through her Twitter account.

For his part, the state president of the Citizen Movement, Adrián Wences Carrasco, had accused the mayor of the municipality, the PRI Timoteo Arce Solís, of being behind the kidnapping. The mayor’s wife, Rosa Jaimes, is Martínez’s rival in the mayoral elections of Cutzamala de Pinzón, a town of just 5,000 inhabitants nailed on the borders of Guerrero with the State of Mexico and Michoacán.
